$125,000 Safe From the Start Campaign Announced
The Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC) has launched a $125,000 campaign to preserve the Safe From the Start program!
Safe From the Start is the only community response program dedicated to reducing the trauma that very young children experience when they are exposed to violence. Since 2001, Safe From the Start has successfully helped hundreds of children in our community find hope, heal and grow despite their exposure to violence.
In 2016, Safe From the Start funding was cut from the State of Illinois budget. The Children's Advocacy Center needs your help to keep this program in our community. “Despite the loss of state funding, our Board of Directors has made a commitment to maintain our staffing and service levels this year,” said Mark Parr, CAC's Executive Director.“The funds from this campaign will ensure that we can continue to offer these valuable services into our next fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017.”
The Children’s Advocacy Center is seeking community support to help fund the Safe From the Start program. Donations of any amount can be made online at by clicking here or over the phone by calling 847-885-0100. Please consider this special giving opportunity to preserve Safe From the Start. Your support is truly appreciated.
