"Hi, my name is Judy and I am 17 years old. It has been 4 ½ years since I was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center. Yet it seemed like just yesterday…I can't thank you and the staff enough for what you did for me and my sister when we came in for our interview. I walked in the CAC that morning with fear and guilt… I don't know if you all realize what an impact you can have on children's lives. I had never been in a more caring environment in my life before. Although it would be nice to get rid of all the sick people in this world it is pretty much impossible. That is why there are the people like you and the staff at the CAC. My recovery from my past started the day I came to the CAC center…Although it was not easy dealing with the nightmares and flashbacks I learned ways from the CAC center on how to control them. I have devoted my life to go to college and become a social worker and fight against the child abuse like I experienced…I wouldn't be in the place I am right now in my life if it weren't for your center. Thanks!"
