CAC RECEIVES DONATION FROM WILLIAM BARRY

The CAC is pleased to announce it has received a $50,000 donation from William Barry to be pledged over 5 years ($10,000 per year). These funds will help CAC expand their prevention services and provide therapy services to more clients.

Each year the CAC serves over 800 children and families who have suffered physical, sexual or emotional abuse. The CAC serves 38 communities throughout the north and northwest suburbs. Additional staff will allow the CAC to provide services free of charge to more children in the area.

“CAC wants to serve as many children as possible, but currently we are unable to provide therapy services to everyone, resulting in a waiting list. This donation from Bill will allow us to meet the needs of more children in the area,” said Simone Wheeler, Director of Development, Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County.

William Barry is currently the Senior Vice President, Commercial Mortgage Production at Draper & Kramer. He has been and is involved in many charities including: Wood Family Foundation, All Stars Project of Chicago, Alzheimer’s Association, Link Unlimited, and March of Dimes. He is currently on the board of trustees of the Gamma Zeta chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

The CAC has been serving the north and northwest community for 28 years. They serve as the leading resource to empower and heal the abused child and prevent violence against children.
