Meet the 2017 Hope, Heal, Grow Gala Co-Chairs, Eddie and Terri Cisneros!

Since moving to the area in 2013, Eddie and Terri have become increasingly involved in the community. After learning about the CAC from a former board member, Eddie joined the Board of Directors in February of 2016. They attended the Annual Gala in 2016 and were impressed by the passion for the CAC in the room, as well as the importance of the tough work that the agency does for the community which led to their decision to co-chair the event.

Eddie was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Miami, FL. Terri was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. They have both lived in numerous cities across the US and met while both working for GE Healthcare. Eddie and Terri have been married for 8 years and have 2 wonderful children. They have lived in the area since 2013, when Eddie started a job with DaVita Kidney care. Terri is an internal consultant for OptumRx in Schaumburg.

Eddie and Terri were looking for an opportunity to serve with an organization that truly makes a difference in people's lives. They care deeply about the impact that child abuse has on the victims and families and know what a difference it makes for this vulnerable population to have compassionate, high quality social services. That is why they made the decision to co-chair the gala.

It is important to them that CAC's services continue to grow so that all victims of trauma have a place to heal as, in the long term, studies shows that therapy services can help curb long term problems (i.e., poor mental health, underperformance or dropping out of school, criminal involvement, etc). All these issues are barriers to long-term prosperity in our community, yet funding from the state has been severely cut for CAC. For these reasons, Eddie and Terri believe it is important for all members of the community, including civic leaders and business people, to support these services and sponsor or attend the Hope, Heal, Grow Gala on April 1st!

CAC is proud to have Eddie and Terri Cisneros co-chair the 4th Annual Hope, Heal, Grow Gala!
