CAC is so thankful for donors like Patty Errera who choose to #BeKind to CAC year-round. She is a familiar face at the Hoffman Estates office, as she regularly drops off blankets and stuffies. These gifts are shared with our clients - young survivors of physical or sexual violence. Such simple things bring incredible comfort to children and teens in crisis.
"I love the work the CAC does for young survivors of abuse," Patty shared. "CAC makes the process as comfortable for the children as possible and helps the families through this sad ordeal."
"Children need a loving stuffed animal and warm comforting blankets to help them through the trauma. The 'Warmies' I donated can be warmed in the microwave and give that child some added comfort," Patty explained.
"I have been giving to the CAC since 2002 and plan to continue doing everything I can forever. I started by making tie blankets and have been donating to fundraisers every year, such as Bloom and the 5K race. I wish I could reach more people to help the CAC because children are the future, and no one deserves to be abused. So, I ask everyone who is interested to visit the CAC and experience the love they provide."
Patty Errera - you are amazing, and we hope more people choose to #BeKind, not only on #GivingTuesday but year-round. Thank you for your beautiful heart for others!
